PKP Szybka Kolej Miejska w Trójmieście (SKM) performs regional commuter transport services on the national railway line no. 250 from Gdańsk Główny station to Rumia and on electrified railway lines in the Pomorskie voivoideship. Railway line no. 250 is 32 km long and there are 22 SKM passenger stops. The management process of this section comprises maintenance, repairs and investments as well as rendering the railway line available to other operators. PKP SKM has its own rolling stock in the form of three-car and four-car electric units. On business days, SKM launches approx. 250 trains and carries over 100,000 passengers daily. The offer consists of commuter transport services and regional services to Słupsk and Tczew, including accelerated trains called SPRINTER. PKP SKM has its own facilities at the Gdynia-Cisowa Postojowa station. They comprise, e.g., a repair hall, automatic wash, and an underfloor wheel lathe shop. PKP SKM offers comprehensive services to third parties in respect of: providing routes for passenger trains on railway line no. 250; sharing EMUs with other carriers; maintenance and repair of passenger rolling stock and locomotives; selling advertising space on SKM platforms and the outer and inner surfaces of SKM trains.
